Project Manager
Wee Jin joined CellVec in 2019 as a Project Manager. At CellVec, Wee Jin plays a key role as part of a team of Specialists and leads the delivery of the company’s manufacturing and service contracts. He is involved in the all-around management of processes, ranging from client onboarding and vector design to process improvements, manufacturing and project delivery. He is also responsible for team operations, overseeing project plans and scheduling and managing the regular communication between the company sponsors, clients and stakeholders. A senior industry professional with over 15 years of experience in scientific roles in the academic, biotech and GMP industries, Wee Jin worked as a Research Scientist and Project Manager at Austrianova. In this capacity, he helped develop the company’s Cell-in-a-Box Manual Cell Encapsulation Kit and molecular painting technologies, project-managed the development of Austrianova’s GMP cell encapsulation platform and led its technology transfer into their newly set up GMP facility in Bangkok.
He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2003 with a Second-Class Upper Honors degree in Materials Science and completed his Master’s degree in Bioengineering in 2012.
